Promotes the brand and learns to manage all aspects of a store including presentation, recruiting, leadership, and store operations standards during training program. Must successfully complete 90-day training program to be promoted into an assistant manager position.

Work Schedule Requirements
Managers are generally required to work 45 to 50 hours per week. Depending on the time of year and needs of the store, managers may work more or less than 45 to 50 hours per week. Managers are required to work most Saturdays and some Sundays, and during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Tasks
The following list summarizes the tasks of a the manager in training program.
Presentation
Learns, participates in and manages presentation standards, ensuring part-time staff involvement in cleaning and maintenance.
Represents the brand
Creates a fun and engaging environment by upholding Abercrombie vision and setting the example of enthusiasm, integrity, commitment, and passion for the Abercrombie brand and culture. Adheres to and upholds staff to Abercrombie guidelines in personal appearance, and rules of conduct.
Stockroom
Learns, participates in and manages stockroom areas being organized and maintained according to Abercrombie standards.
Store Operations
Coordinates with other managers to resolve operations and customer issues throughout the store. Learns reviews and supports all current Abercrombie procedures and policies. Reads and completes appropriate sections of the Program. Performs management only register functions. Participates in training and management meetings. Handles all cash related managerial procedures. Learns maintenance and updating of personnel files. Sets up Program clipboards. Learns and completes scorecard under supervision of store manager.
Recruiting
Identifies and recruits quality associates for store to assist in meeting and maintaining store staffing levels.
Performance management and development
Participates in training and management meetings. Values diversity in others and develops and maintains good working relationships with all associates.
Scheduling
Learns how to set priorities, assign work and organize work flow for employee staff.
Customer Experience
Interacts with and assists all customers to exceed their expectations and ensure they are satisfied with their Abercrombie experience. Ensures customers are greeted, thanked, and helped by maintaining appropriate zone coverage and minimizing lines. Keeps up to date on merchandise choices to share this knowledge with customers.
Loss prevention and shrink
Learns, follows, and participates in training of others to follow, all Abercrombie safety and security policies, including testing of sensormatic system, and knowledge of current shrink rate. Monitors shrink by being aware of signs of theft.
